Like a lazy, half-arsed version of someone like The Vaccines or Howler” is what Joe Allan, a surf-pop singer/songwriter from Newcastle Upon Tyne calls himself. ”I’ve got some great ideas, all I need now is some money and some fellow music people to help me do them justice and put them into practice.”
Joe Allan makes fuzzy beach-pop pieces of noise, telling tales of life as an underachiever, a youngster and a hopeless romantic. With plans for an early 2013 EP release, as well as a string of UK dates, as long as he manages to conjure up the money to properly record his songs(!), Joe Allan is ‘one to watch’ for next year.
