Most artists haven’t made a song half as good as Ryan’s “brilliant masterpieces” so critics should stop giving him a hard time for his so-called “patchy patchworks.” In my opinion, part of the masterpiece of his songs is how raw they can be, adding to their incredible intensity in a beautiful way.

As Ryan himself as said, all musicians whether good or bad are just trying to tell their stories, and there can never be anything wrong with that.
