Recently we had the chance to have, a really short but concise, e-mail conversation with Jeff Stinco, the lead guitarist from Montreal based punk-pop quintet [tag]Simple Plan[/tag]. We pondered Jeff with a few questions, about the band’s new album, sound, new video and their upcoming 2008 tour and he was gracious enough to give some interesting answers.

Vintage Rilo Kiley video: ‘Wires and Waves’
It was the year 2001 and [tag]Rilo Kiley[/tag] were just making their debut into the indie mainstream with their own lovely Take-Offs and Landings. One of the stand out track was “Wires and Waves,” a heartbreaking now conventional Rilo Kiley anthem, that was also picked for a music video as well. But when you film a video with planes and sing lines like “sometimes planes they smash up in the sky,” right after the 9/11…
New Music Monday: December 17
The string of inconsistent releases, leave their mark, this week as well, with the usual end of the year mediocre Hip-Hop releases and here and there compilations. Worth mentioning are [tag]Mary J. Blige[/tag], [tag]Lupe Fiasco[/tag] or [tag]Chingy[/tag], each with a new album out this week. A personal favorite of mine this week is from behalf of [tag]Weezer[/tag] frontman Rivers Cuomo and his first solo record “Alone–the Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo,” a collection of songs…
Led frontman announces tour dates for 2008
The massive [tag]Led Zeppelin[/tag] reunion gig that took place at the O2 Arena, this Monday, left fans begging for more, sadly this was a one time only. Most probably their last, but Led fans that were disappointed by the lack of a tour, can get the next best thing: Robert Plant. That’s right, this summer will see Rob tour Europe, in support of his highly praised latest album “Raising Sands”, in which he duets with…

Radiohead add more dates
A while back [tag]Radiohead[/tag] announced, on their blog, that further copies of In Rainbows box set will not be produced (guess they’ll get pretty valuable in the future) and that the free download, of the digital In Rainbows, will stop as well, starting from 10 December 2008. Despite the fact they’ve put a bit of a cork on it, the band has decided to gracious with even more tour dates, two to be precise, as…
The 2007 most downloaded artists from Apple
Steve Jobs’ iTunes is undoubtedly the world’s largest online music retail store and as physical records have long ago been outsourced, in terms of sales, by downloads we can safely say that the iTunes charts are a measure to test a band’s mainstream popularity. Let’s take in example the latest end of the year charts from Apple, that have surfaced recently; namely the “best selling albums of the year” and the “best selling singles.”Apparently [tag]Maroon…
Bullet for My Valentine with two new tracks
I was simply blown away by, metal core quartet, [tag]Bullet for My Valentine[/tag]’s debut album Poison. It was energetic, punk and had some extremely catchy metal hooks; they were great. Now their second release, “Scream, Aim, Fire,” is getting closer by the day and from the two new songs off of it, that have been posted around the internet lately, it sadly seems the band haven’t been spared by the oh so dreaded sophomore slumps….
