Best soundtracks to look for in 2013

Source

Well I have to confess that I am a huge musical movies fan, and for me a movie is often only as good as its soundtrack is. We’ve already seen how 2013 started as a good year for the music industry, so  why not take a look at some great soundtracks from some promising movies. So I’ve made up a top 5 for the best soundtracks for the upcoming movies this year.

Source. The Croods

The Croods. Alan Silvestri composed the original soundtrack for the movie, but this one will also include an Owl City song ( I personally don’t like them, but I know lots of people that do). The movie is going to be out at the end of March this year. Check out the trailer:

Source. A Good Day to Die Hard

A Good Day to Die Hard, even though I am sick of the Die Hard film series, and the only movie that I like with Bruce Willis are The 6th Sense and The 5th Element, I have to admit that Marco Beltrami did a really great job by entirely creating the soundtrack for this movie. You can listen to It’s Hard to Kill a McClane from the original soundtrack below.

The 3rd place goes to… EPIC’s soundtrack, composed by Danny Elfman, and is actually an animation fantasy movie, starring Amanda Seyfried, Beyonce even Steven Tyler and many others. This is going to be out in May this year and below you can listen to a song from Snow Patrol from the official movie soundtrack. ( I love this song.)

OK, this place should actually be 1 bis,but I can’t do that. I had to choose between Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman, and that’s something that took me a lot of time to decide who’s better than other, so please have in mind that this place is actually 1 bis. If you don’t know what am I talking about, I can only assume that you’ve already watched the Gladiator, so yeah, Hans Zimmer was one of the soundtrack’s composers for this movie (along with Lisa Gerard from Dead Can Dance, but that’s another story). I bet you all loved the movie, (and you have to admit that the music was great and the movie without the music couldn’t express so many emotions). You may actually love this movie too, because the music is also written by Hans Zimmer (besides, this is a movie with Johnny Depp) and the theme song is created by Jack White (how cool is that). I am talking here about The Lone Ranger, which is going to be out in July this year, so enjoy the trailer below.

Source Oz The Great and Powerful

And the first place is won by a movie with a very interesting soundtrack, and I think that all the Oingo Boingo or the Danny Elfman fans out there will agree with me (if you don’t know what am I talking about, just go to the first grocery store or something like that and buy  a Tim Burton’s movie, almost all of them have the soundtrack created by Danny Elfman),and this movie is Oz the Great and Powerful. I just can’t wait to watch this movie, I love this kind of movies and by watching the trailer kind of reminded me of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (2010). Below is a soundtrack teaser from this movie so you  can I understand why I chose this movie to have the greatest soundtrack from 2013.

If you’re a student like me, then you may think that catching a film at the movie theater is an extravagant treat, especially when you consider the high costs of tickets – saving ticket money with coupons is no small thing, “you just need to lookup for discount sites and you will find them in abundance, for example Couponraja or Retailmenot can be a good start”, so you really have no excuse to miss out on these (hopefully) great movies with (definitely) great soundtracks.
