Burial is quite possibly the most enigmatic artist in the last few years, releasing two highly well regarded albums, in almost complete anonymity. He’s a totally focused individual, who cares about nothing but his music; his own person comes in second place. Add that to his London underground dubstep music, and you’ve got a really shrouded, but very intriguing persona on your hands.
Now, In a recent blog post on his MySpace page today (August 5th), the London artist confessed his true identity and also revealed a few more details about both himself and his upcoming new work. Read on, after the jump.

for a while theres been some talk about who i am , but its not a big deal
i wanted to be unknown because i just want it to be all about the tunes.
over the last year the unknown thing become an issue so im not into it any more.
im a lowkey person and i just want to make some tunes, nothing else. my names will bevan, im from south london, im keeping my head down and just going to finish my next album, theres going to be a 12″ maybe in the next few weeks too with 4 tunes. hope u like it, i’ll try put a tune up latersorry for any rubbish tunes i made in the past, ill make up for it

Great to hear there’s actually someone behind the name Burial, and most of all it’s great to hear Will is getting some new things up soon too. That 12″ will be mighty anticipated. Again, Burial (Will Bevan) handles himself impecably. There’s so much today’s glamor stars can learn from his well balanced modesty.
