I’ve been recently digging Kentucky noise rock duo Magik Markers ( Elisa Ambrogio, Pete Nolan), a band that sounds super primitive, with super groovy free rock, a lot of supers anyway. What i most like about them is their keen sense of improvisation, often jamming on the spot on gigs. If your interested their debut album, in this formation, “BOSS” will be out on September 25, in the US. The leading track off BOSS, is undoubtedly “Taste”, a song in which Elisa Ambrogio commanding voice and Pete Nolan’s serious drumming intertwine very well and materialize in a fairly unique material.
