Ryan Adams latest, tenth album, recorded with his long time collaborators The Cardinals, titled “Cardinology”, got out on shelves of record stores all over the country this week. I really loved this year’s “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay, quite unexpectedly, actually. Lovers in Japan, the band’s latest single, is one of my favorite songs off new album, next to Lost and 42, thanks to its easy going, anthemic vibe. I’m really a sucker for these types of melodies. This goes to show that Feist can also release more deep and artistic videos, as she just did with the Anthony Seck directed music video for “Honey Honey.” It’s far from sophisticated work art, but it’s damn well no iPod commercial.
