Supposedly this new leaked Kanye West song, “Power,” will appear on his upcoming Good Ass Job. (I linked to this usershare account because the song doesn’t stay on youtube long enough for anyone to fully stream it.)

As for the song itself, it drives the African chant-influenced vocal hook into the ground before the end of the first minute. That said, there’s a King Crimson sample! And Kanye is rapping again! Lyrically, he’s still got it: “They say I was the abomination of Obama’s nation/ Well, that’s a pretty bad way to start a conversation.” Overall, it’s a solid track and should get any fan of his excited for his new record.

If you want an “actual” version of the song, iTunes will have it available on June 8. You can stream the song at that link, as well.

I wasn’t really sure about what he was going on about with the Obama line: “They say I was the abomination of Obama’s nation”. Does any one actually know what he’s really meaning?
BTW the lyrics are up here: http://www.lyricsg.com/246134/lyrics/kanyewest/power.html :)
