I first saw The Sword when they opened for Metallica two years ago and they simply blew my mind away with their hypnotic blend of stoner metal and hard banging riffs. These guys know how to stimulate your psychic, I’m telling you.

Covered above is the new album art for the Austinites upcoming third studio album, “Warp Riders.” Appropriately for a “psychedelic space opera” concept record, the cover, by artist Dan McPharlin, perfectly illustrates the album’s spacey vibe – a sci-fi novel soundtrack, if you will. Warp Riders officially out August 24 on Kemado Records.
