Adam Levine disses Fox News in all out rant

Adam Levine is no stranger to making his opinions known on Twitter, be they positive, negative, or all out lashes. The frontman of Maroon 5 gave it all, really upset that his music was played on Fox News:

The tweet gathered over 13.000 retweets and over 5.000 faves, but it generated an impressive amount of backlash. Levine is a known advocate for gay rights, and previously blamed Fox’s “American Idol” of suppressing the sexuality of its gay contestants. However, he is a judge on NBC’s “The Voice,” a rival of “American Idol.”

What I really like about this is that he actually asked them to stop playing his music – which is really interesting, because he gets royalties whenever his songs are played on Fox News. So basically, he gave up on some money because he didn’t want to be associated in any way with Fox News. Pretty cool.

Theoretically, Maroon 5 is in the studio, working on a new album, but we’ve had no significant updates on the status of their album.

“The stuff we’re working on now, it definitely has gone maybe a little darker in its sound, maybe back a little bit more to what we kind of did on Songs About Jane, but at this point we do have all kinds of different songs and it is early.”, said James Valentine, lead guitarist
