Built around the a cappella of the Love Committee’s “Cheaters Never Win”, Teengirl Fantasy‘s completely revamped version, called “Cheaters“, turned the track upside down, filling the dramatic vocals with liquid synths, an uplifting bass line, against a wall of splattered neutral tones of sound that lift you up, only to bring you back on your feet emotionally the next second, then back up. It’s quite the emotional roller coaster, but if I have to give the Ohio duo credit for just one thing that would be that these guys definitely know how to produce quality dance music.

Cheaters is off Teengirl Fantasy’s upcoming debut album, “7 AM”, due for release on September 14 on True Panther in North America and Merok in Europe.
