Bruce Springsteen Releases New Single, ‘High Hopes,’ Ahead Of 2014 LP

Bruce Springsteen has released a new single, before the LP he has planned for 2013. “High Hopes” is the title track to The Boss’ new album, which is due in January 14. But as hardcore fans will already know, this is not a new song, but rather a new recording. He originally covered The Havalinas’ song in 1995 — but it’s a new recording, featuring former Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello. This song…

So Bruce Springsteen put a new single out this morning

It’s called “We Take Care of Our Own,” and you can hear it via a lyric video he uploaded to YouTube.  You can stream it below.  The song is the first single off of his forthcoming record Wrecking Ball, which is due out on March 6. In typical Boss fashion, it’s got not-all-hope-is-lost working-man lyrics, chiming guitars, and an anthemic chorus.  So, yeah, it’s a Springsteen song.

Bruce Springsteen pwned the Super Bowl

I’m European, so, like most fellow inhabitants of the old continent, I have little to nothing in common with American Football (soccer – now that’s a gentleman’s game), but the Super Bowl is something I grant myself watching from time to time. This Super Bowl, however, I skipped and I kinda regret it now. Make no mistake, not for game, but rather for Bruce Springsteen’s epic performance during half-time. The Boss just owned from multiple…

New Bruce Springsteen video: ‘Life Itself’

With only a few weeks before the new Bruce Springsteen album, “Working on a Dream,” comes out, spirits are getting pretty restless. Anxious, if you will. The whole tension has been building up since the first video, Lucky Day, popped out – a motivation anthem, packed with hope and messages of change. Bruce’s latest video, however, for the “Life Itself” is quite different, although the setting is kinda the same – Bruce and the guys,…

New Bruce Springsteen video: ‘My Lucky Day’

The Boss is ready to put out another solid release, as his 16th studio album, “Working on a Dream,” is set to get out at the beginning of the new year. I really enjoyed Bruce’s last year album, Magic, and thought it made quite an awesome winter record, because it had that Christmas cheer on so many of the tracks. It had a lot of hope and passion, like most of Bruce Springsteen’s records to…

Springsteen endorses Obama

I’ve told you before… we don’t do politics. Not here. We don’t pick sides, we’re not from America, not republicans not democrats not anything. Although music has some common points with politics we’ve avoided them as much as possible. But when a music titan such as Bruce Springsteen, whose music is oh so political says Barack Obama “speaks to the America I’ve envisioned in my music for the past 35 years.”, something’s worth looking at…

Download: Chromatics – ‘I’m On Fire’ (Bruce Springsteen cover)

Just a few weeks ago we told you how amazed we were of Natasha Khan’s cover of [tag]Bruce Springsteen[/tag] classic “I’m On Fire,” who slowed down the song’s tempo and added a melancholic piano line; the end result was a song of her own, what covers should really be. Now it’s time for Portland’s [tag]Chromatics[/tag] to cover the Born In The USA single, trying a minimalistic approach to the song. Subtle guitar chords and calming…
