Vampire Weekend have revealed another song from their upcoming third LP, Modern Vampires of the City. The track, entitled “Ya Hey,” is accompanied by a video containing lyrics and footage of people bursting wine bottles open. Modern Vampires of the City is due to be released on March 14th in the US. Black Sabbath have released the first single from their upcoming studio album, 13. The song is called “God Is Dead?” and it clocks in at nearly nine minutes in length. 13 will be released on June 11th, but “God Is Dead?” is available now as an instant download on iTunes with a pre-order of the album. Tyler, The Creator, leader of hip hop collective Odd Future, has released his third studio album for streaming. The album, entitled Wolf, leaked online earlier this week, prompting Tyler to release the record on his own. You can hear it on Odd Future’s Tumblr. The album will be released officially on April 2nd.
The wait is over. Daft Punk’s new album, Random Access Memories, has been listed for pre-order on iTunes and will be released on May 21st via Daft Punk Limited. The album will feature 13 tracks, although the names of the songs remain unknown. This will be the group’s first release since their soundtrack for Tron: Legacy.
With their fractured Angles recording sessions, the absence of any definite tour plans, and the complete media blackout surrounding their new album, The Strokes are giving every indication that their time together is up. When you consider that Comedown Machine, the band’s new album, will be their last on release RCA, it all makes sense.
