I expected a more mystical approach in the video for the eerie “Sleep Alone,” at least somewhere along the lines of Pearl’s Dream. However, even though it’s not very spiritually/mystical and so on, the video is still very much weird and packed with subtleties.
At heart, it’s quite simple. Nat can’t stand to sleep alone, so [...]
Natasha’s second single from one of the year’s best albums, “Two Suns,” gets a pretty typical Bat for Lashes approach for its video. Costumes, nature, bright/dark contrasts and some goofy wire flying around. Nice to see Nat doing her own ’stunts’ though :).
Not sure where the blond-wigged version of Natasha comes in. Anyone care to [...]
Those of you kind readers who’ve been following my writing for the last couple of weeks may have noticed that I’m a big fan of Natasha Khan’s latest LP, “Two Suns.” It’s eery, up-lifting and filled with hope. I always feel more motivated and ready to face the world after I give it a spin, [...]
Last week I posted a bit about Natasha’s recent KoL cover of “Use Somebody,” seems, however, she’s here to stay on the blog as we’ve got yet another Bat for Lashes-centered post.
Natasha just recently paid a visit to Jools Holland’s show, where she played a really beautiful live performance of Daniel, off her recent sophomore [...]
As if it wasn’t enough her recent “Two Suns” rocked every inch of my body, Natasha Khan, more know after her Bat for Lashes moniker, is back on ZME with yet another incredible cover. Some time ago she covered Bruce Springsteen, then The Cure and now southern rockers Kings of Leon, namely “Use Somebody” off [...]
Natasha Khan, more known after moniker Bat for Lashes, seems to have a thing for covers, as she’s just released a cover of The Cure’s classic “Forrest,” after she dangled a bit with Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire.” I don’t think the cover could be considered as suitable material for this The Cure compilation EP, [...]
I instantly fell in love with Natasha Khan’s music, ever since I had a listen of her last year debut Fur And Gold. Her soft and weary voice, together with the psychedelic pop vibe her songs have, made me a instant fan, but I never though all that could fit in [tag]Bruce Springsteen[/tag] song. She [...]
Brighton’s own Natasha Khan and her crew from Bat for Lashes have once again released a kick ass video, of hypnotic proportions: ‘What’s A Girl To Do’. The video looks like a classic horror flick intro, creepy piano lines and pulsing beats, with of course the usual BFL anomalies, like a band of mascot headed [...]
