Led frontman announces tour dates for 2008

The massive [tag]Led Zeppelin[/tag] reunion gig that took place at the O2 Arena, this Monday, left fans begging for more, sadly this was a one time only. Most probably their last, but Led fans that were disappointed by the lack of a tour, can get the next best thing: Robert Plant. That’s right, this summer will see Rob tour Europe, in support of his highly praised latest album “Raising Sands“, in which he duets with the lovely Alisson Krauss.
The tour will see the Led Zeppelin singer and country star play a date at London’s Wembley Arena on May 22, as well as three other UK dates in Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff. Details after the jump.
May 5: Birmingham NIA
May 7: Manchester Apollo
May 8: Cardiff International Arena
May 10: Düsseldorf Philipshalle
May 11: Brussells Forest National Club
May 13: Paris Le Grand Rex Theatre
May 14: Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall
May 16: Stockholm Hovet (Ice Hall)
May 18: Oslo Spektrum
May 19: Bergen Bergenshalle
May 22: London Wembley Arena

This must be the reason why the rumours of a Zepp reunion tour were shot down. I’ve read Jimmy Page was ok with the idea of reunion tour but the problem was with Robert Plant.
