Sunset Rubdown maps spring tour

One of my favorite songwriters, Spencer Krug, is set to travel across the Atlantic , accompanied by his band [tag]Sunset Rubdown[/tag], as part of a spring tour in Europe. The Canadians will be touring across the old world, through out UK, Ireland, and a couple Scandinavian countries before ending in early June. Should prove entertaining, especially because I,myself, am European and a big fan of the band, hopefully I’ll get to review a gig. All…

Earlier today master guitarist Jimmy Page stated for journalists in Tokyo that, after performing a show to remember at last month’s O2 benefit concert, he’s ready to take [tag]Led Zeppelin[/tag] on tour, but no sooner then September. “The amount of work we put into O2 was what you would normally put into a world tour anyway,” Page, 64, said of the intense rehearsing the band did for the Dec. 10 concert at London’s O2 Arena.

New Against Me! video: ‘Stop’

The punk quartet of [tag]Against Me![/tag] just released the video, for their latest single “Stop,” just in time for the US elections, as they remind us to “stop, take some time to think, figure out what’s important.” Solid advice guys, that’s something we should all do more often. As for the video, it features the Florida new wavers chilling on the couch, as their alter egos play on TV; the black and white effects do…

A few days ago we announced in an article that everything seems to announce the new Metallica album for February. Now sources from within the band’s record label announced that album is now expected to hit the stores in September. Even more than that, the band is still in the studio! Blazing guitar parts, hard vocals and agressive lyrics made it an album which you have to listen to; and you can either love it or hate it, there’s no middle way.But the boys are not settling; instead, they are going on a tour and even planning a new album!…

New Ringo Starr video: ‘Liverpool 8’

One of the former fab four, the glamorous [tag]Ringo Starr[/tag], just recently released his 14th solo album, Liverpool 8. The video for the title track couldn’t be more plain, much like the rest of song, fact that disappointed me a bit, as I had higher expectations then kinder garden level rhymes. Watch out for the Dave Stewart cameo too.

Triumph reunites

After a year filled with all sort of reunions it seems we are going to have another share of reunited bands. This time we are talking about Triumph. They made history during the late 1970s and 80s and made a name for themselves as a great live band, with guitarist Rik Emmett being compared with Eddie Van Halen numerous time for his guitar chops. They released over 10 albums in their carreer. Now, members Rik…
