Damon Albarn and his Gorillaz, helped out by singer Daley, played a wonderful three song set for BBC’s Radio One, of which their new single “Doncamatic” and “On Melancholy Hill”. However the highlight of the show was the unexpected cover of The xx‘s barren, yet touching “Crystalised”, which the band performed remarkably and even more stripped down than the original – just acoustic guitar, piano, and xylophone.
