The Raveonettes
Christmas is a commin’, folks. Flashing lights, people gathering around singing carols, pompeous chrismas trees, bla, bla. You can feel all of that Chrismass cheer floating in the air … and in your whallets, of course. Capitalistic remarks aren’t my thing, though – music is.
Just recently the madly ecstatic Danish duo, The Raveonettes, just released a new Christmas special EP, called “Wishing You A Rave Christmas.” Quite an interesting choive of words, if I might add. Anyway, since giving is sharing, The Raveonettes released one of the four songs off the EP, “Come On Santa,” as a free MP3 download. The song’s, as usual for the two, very up beat and has a lot of interesting harmonies, although not as fuzzy as on their 2007 LP, “Lust, Lust, Lust.” It’s really fun, nevertheless.
