Download: Yeah Yeah Yeahs - ‘All I Want For Christmas’
Every artist, lately, has been releasing Christmas songs, but, honestly, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs never seemed like people with the C. spirit in them. Gathering around a Christmas tree, doing decorating, singing charols… neither of these seems their wacky self, but that doesn’t mean they can’t bang out a hell of a Christmas tune.
I’m talking, of course, about YYYs latest “All I Want For Chritmas” song, just recently released down at the band’s myspace. Down drum beats, gingle bells, spirity guitars and Karen O’s soothing uh-ah-ah’s makes it quite an interesting take and, maybe most of all, a great addition to your upcoming Christmas mixtape.
Be on the look out for YYYS new, upcoming album (still untitled) set for a January, 09 release.
