Finally - John Paul Jones, Josh Homme and Dave Grohl are Them Crooked Vultures!

Exactly one month ago we were stoked to report the formation of one of the most awesome supergroups to see the light of day in years - a band comprised of none other than Led Zep’s John Paul Jones, Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme. Today, we’ve got a name for the three - The Crooked Vultures.
Looks like the band’s first show will be held at Chicago’s Metro this Sunday (August 9), according to this somewhat criptic ticket ad. There’s also a very official looking website, along with Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook pages. Looks pretty legit!
Antiquiet has the inside scoop an a possible tour and album as well.
OK… am I the only one totally extatic about the project?

Do you think sharing the stage with a former Zeppelin might curb Josh Homme’s temper in the event that some smart-ass decides to throw stuff at him again? Cause you don’t wanna embarrass John Paul Jones.

Forget JPJ, nobody wants to piss off Josh Homme, unless you want to be a smart-ass and get lynched :D. Anyway, all 3 are extraordinary musicians and I’m pretty sure TCV will rock us off the planet!
