Nine Inch Nails (abbreviated as NIN, sometimes stylized as NIÐ) is an American industrial rock project, founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor in Cleveland, Ohio. As its main producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Reznor is the only official member of Nine Inch Nails and remains solely responsible for its direction.[1] Nine Inch Nails' music straddles a wide range of genres. After recording a new album, Reznor usually assembles a live band to perform with him. The touring band features a revolving lineup that often rearranges songs to fit a live setting. On stage, Nine Inch Nails often employs visual elements to accompany performances, which frequently include light shows.[2]
Trent Raznor has announced that Nine Inch Nails will return this summer, and there’s some good news, and some bad news. Bad news is former Alessandro Cortini and Ilan Rubin will be leaving the band. The good news is, their place will be taken by Eric Avery of Jane’s Addiction, Adrian Belew of King Crimson [...]
Aside from working on his major side project called How to Destroy Angels, Trent Raznor is also involved in videogame music (for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2), headphone partnerships, movies (worked on The Social Network and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo)- but that still doesn’t stop him from working on a new Nine [...]
The Tedeschi Trucks band rolled their tour into Boston on a perfect 75 degree evening. The sunset over Boston highlighted the evening with a beautiful array of colors that made the night just that much nicer. When Susan Tedeschi walked onto stage with her husband Derek Trucks not far behind, the entire venue cheered them [...]
Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi prove marriage and some great friends can put together an incredible album . Before the upcoming Boston show on August 17th at the Bank of America Pavilion, I asked Susan and Derek a few questions and this is what they had to say about it: ZME: With the soon [...]
Hailed as one of the most innovative figures, web 2.0-wise (and not only, of course), the highly controversial NIN frontman Trent Reznor deleted his Twitter account recently, on which he was followed by tens of thousands of fans, dying to get a glimpse of the real Trent. Quite the proper word – followers – considering [...]
“It just dawned on me that this is our last show ever in the United States. Don’t be sad. I’ll keep going. But I think I’m going to lose my mind if I keep doing this, and I have to stop.” Don’t be sad my ass. How would you react, if the frontman of a [...]
A €15 entrance fee reminds me of the extortionate charge you’d pay to watch your mate’s brother bash out his unique brand of death metal improv in the local badly lit, badly attended, ‘rock’ venue (and in the time it took me to say that, you would have already spent it again at the bar). [...]
If you happen to hear the sounds of a million and three alternative fans whooping and hollering in delight over the next few months, it’s probably something to with the Nine Inch Nails/Jane’s Addiction/Street Sweeper tour that’s sweeping the globe this year. Which, surprisingly, we haven’t covered even once – feel free to slap us [...]
Photo by LtRandazzo A flickr user posted this yesterday, after attending a Nine Inch Nails show, most probably in Saint Louis’ Scottrade Center, on August 20th. The pic perfectly surprises the much feared blue screen of death, that’s been haunting computer geeks around the world! CTR+ALT+DEL :( Anyway, the Windows 98 error screen was obviously [...]
Yesterday night Trent released a new single over the airwaves and interwebs, titled “Discipline.” This comes just barely a month after his NIN released their most recent LP, the instrumental Ghosts. I’m a bit confused by Trent’s new strategy of releasing mass music, seeing how the band’s members are free agents, free from any label [...]
